Reception of the Spirit is By Faith - Galatians 3:2

Received ye the spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

The law does not save us - rather, it condemns us! Since nobody is perfect, our measure against the law will only result in pointing our our utter failure to measure up. On the other hand, faith and obedience to His word; the word of revelation, will save us and justify us because of His atonement and grace. But it takes faith and courage.
