(it is given) faith by the same Spirit.The Spirit is the source of all spiritual gifts. Also, faith is a spiritual gift. We are admonished to seek after the Spiritual gifts. Will God grant us faith by the Spirit if we do not seek it? More than ask, we must seek - this is an involved process that takes patience. We must pray for it, but we must strive for total obedience to the Spirit. We must strive for 100% compliance, which is to turn over our will to Him.
The faithful seek to know and do His will - the spiritual gift is the help to know it. It is not always manifested as words that we hear nor even a physical feeling, sometimes it is simply knowing that something is right.
